さばき【裁き】

a judgment; a decision; 〔陪審員の〕 a verdict.

●法の裁き a legal decision

・神の裁き the judgment of the gods

・公平[不公平]な裁き a fair [an unfair] judgment.

●私にはいずれとも裁きがつけられない. I cannot decide (this matter) either way.

・神の裁きが下った. A decision was granted by the gods.

●法の裁きに従う obey a legal decision; act in accordance with the verdict of the law.

●裁きの庭 a law court. [＝ほうてい²]

・裁きを受ける be judged; be tried; face one's trial
